How to get a Airtable API key

  1. Open Create personal access token in Airtable's Builder Hub and type a name for the token. The name shows up in record revision history.
  2. Click Add a scope and tick what your app needs, for example data.records:read and data.records:write. At least one scope is required.
  3. Click Add a base to pick the bases the token can reach, or Add all resources for every base you can see.
  4. Click Create token. Airtable shows the token only once, in the next box; Footgun reads it from there.
