How to get a Cloudflare API key

  1. Open API Tokens under My Profile in the Cloudflare dashboard and click Create Token.
  2. Click Use template next to the template that fits your app, such as Edit zone DNS, or Get started under Custom token to pick permissions yourself.
  3. Give the token a name, check the permissions and which accounts or zones it covers, then click Continue to summary.
  4. Click Create Token on the summary page. Cloudflare shows the token only once, on the next page; Footgun reads it from there.
