How to set up Resend domain

Start here, signed in on resend.com.
Footgun fills in:
- Domain to send from
- Where the domain's DNS is managed
- Type your domain into Name and click Add domain. Resend then shows the DNS records the domain needs.

Only when Where the domain's DNS is managed is cloudflare
Click Auto configure. A Cloudflare window opens: sign in if asked and approve adding the records. If that fails, click Manual setup and add the records below in Cloudflare with Proxy status set to DNS only, then click I've already added the records.Footgun lists your DNS records here in the guide panel, each with a Copy button.
Only when Where the domain's DNS is managed is other
Add each record below at your DNS host. If your host has a proxy setting, set it to DNS only. Then click I've already added the records in Resend.Footgun lists your DNS records here in the guide panel, each with a Copy button.
- Resend checks the records and marks the domain verified. New DNS records can take a while to spread, so if it is not verified yet, come back later and run the check again.
Let Claude Code fill it in
Ask Claude Code to set this up. Footgun opens the right page, shows your app’s addresses with Copy buttons, and checks the result where the provider allows it. You make every change yourself.
