WordPress MCP SEO bulk update reports success but writes nothing

success: 1, failed: 0

Verified 2026-09-02 · Confirmed by 0 builders · Trust 50/100

Cause

The bulk SEO tool reports success without writing Yoast meta. The same server's live-data tool also reports no SEO plugin while Yoast is active.

Fix

Write the Yoast keys through REST and confirm through yoast_head_json.

Apply

GET /wp-json/wp/v2/posts/<id>?_fields=yoast_head_json and check title and description
