Cause

firebase-functions declares the firebase-admin majors it supports as a peer range, and that range lagged the firebase-admin 14 release by about six weeks.

Fix

Upgrade firebase-functions to 7.3.0 or later together with firebase-admin 14. Avoid legacy-peer-deps as a permanent fix.

npm install firebase-functions@^7.3.0 firebase-admin@^14
