Long requests through Cloudflare fail with Error 524 after about two minutes

Cause

Cloudflare waits 125 seconds for the origin to send response headers before returning 524. Only Enterprise zones can raise this proxy read timeout.

Return quickly and finish the work in the background with a job id the client polls, or serve the long endpoint from a DNS only hostname.

Affects: Cloudflare proxied zones on Free, Pro, and Business; Enterprise can raise the timeout up to 6,000 s
