Cause

Double-brace Handlebars expressions HTML-escape their values, which is visible in subject lines and in values that already contain markup. Triple braces insert the value raw.

Fix

Use triple braces for values that may contain ampersands, quotes, or trusted HTML, and keep double braces for untrusted user text in the body.
