Cause

Codex with ChatGPT sign-in serves only the models the plan currently includes, and retires models on fixed dates: gpt-5.4 and gpt-5.4-mini on 2026-08-31, gpt-5.3-codex-spark on 2026-09-14, and gpt-5.5 on 2026-10-14. API-key sessions follow the API model catalog instead.

Fix

Replace retired model ids in config.toml, profiles, custom agents, scheduled tasks, and scripts with a model available to your plan, and check that the subscription is active.
