Cause
A run request does not supply a payload to a custom webhook trigger, so the trigger has nothing to emit and the run ends at once.
Fix
Trigger webhook scenarios by sending an HTTP request to the webhook URL. To run modules on demand from the API, build an action-only scenario with no trigger and on-demand scheduling; a run then executes each module once in module id order.
Apply
Scenario scheduling {"type": "on-demand"} with an action as the first module, then POST /api/v2/scenarios/{id}/run with {"responsive": true}Affects: Make API v2 and the Make MCP scenarios_run tool, September 2026
