Symptom

PrismaClient was instantiated without any options. A driver adapter is required to connect to your database.PrismaClientConstructorValidationError: Using engine type "client" requires either "adapter" or "accelerateUrl" to be provided to PrismaClient constructor.TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading '__internal')SyntaxError: The requested module '@prisma/client' does not provide an export named 'PrismaClient'

Cause

The Prisma 7 client has no built-in database driver, so every PrismaClient needs a driver adapter or an Accelerate URL. Code and examples written for Prisma 6 call new PrismaClient() with no arguments.

Fix

Install the adapter for your database, pass it to the constructor, and import PrismaClient from the generated client folder set by the generator output, not from @prisma/client.
