HubSpot settings no longer offer Create a private app, so setup guides dead-end

Cause

HubSpot is removing creation of legacy, non-project private apps in the account UI, from 2026-09-28 for new accounts and 2026-10-26 for existing ones. Existing private app tokens keep working.

Fix

For a new in-account integration, create a Service Key under Settings, Integrations, Service Keys, or build a 2026.09 developer platform project. Keep existing private app tokens and rotate them as before.

Apply

HubSpot account > Settings > Integrations > Service Keys > Create service key

Affects: HubSpot accounts created on or after 2026-09-28, and all accounts from 2026-10-26
