Meta Graph API breaking changes, updated weekly

   Symptom

   fbq('track','Lead') produces zero network requests

   Fix

   Inspect the pixel's config for the restricted list. Send neutrally named custom events with no health or condition words, confirm them in Events Manager, build custom conversions on them, and point ad sets at those.

   Marketing API /ads request returns 500 unless the page size is 50 or less

   Symptom

   500 error from /act_{id}/ads with a large limit

   Fix

   Page at limit=50 and follow paging.next.

   Facebook post_impressions and post reach metrics no longer return data

   Symptom

   post_impressions, post_impressions_unique, post_views and post_engaged_users return errors or nothing

   Fix

   Drop those metrics. Use the ones that still answer, and use Instagram insights for reach.

   System user token gets 'Invalid OAuth 2.0 Access Token' on Page endpoints

   Symptom

   Invalid OAuth 2.0 Access Token on /{page-id}/... calls

   Fix

   Exchange the system user token for the Page token and use that for Page calls.

   Symptom

   The entire insights request fails because one metric name is invalid

   Fix

   Request metrics one at a time, or retry without the failing metric, and keep whatever answers.

   Symptom

   Only followers_count is available

   Fix

   Build on counts and insights, such as follower delta and reach, instead of account lists.

   WhatsApp Cloud API send fails with #200 on a number connected through another provider

   Symptom

   (#200) You do not have the necessary permissions to send messages on behalf of this WhatsApp Business Account

   Fix

   Send through the provider the number is connected to, or move the number to your own app. One number cannot serve both.

   Fix

   Use a system user token with expiration set to Never for server-side jobs.
